ZUISEN NO SHIRO by Marukyu Koyamaen Matcha

Urasenke Grand Master’s Preferred Matcha

“Zuisen no Shiro” is a premium matcha selected according to the preferences of the Urasenke Grand Master, one of the principal schools of Japanese tea ceremony.

Renowned for its smooth and refined flavor, this matcha offers a deep, elegant umami and a mild, rounded taste that makes it well-suited for both koicha (thick tea) and usucha (thin tea). Its delicate aroma and beautiful, clear green hue make it ideal not only for formal gatherings but also for daily tea practice.

With a perfect balance of grace and depth, this matcha is a cherished choice for practitioners who value both tradition and taste in their tea ceremony experience.

How to Store Matcha for Freshness:

To preserve the delicate flavor of matcha, proper storage is essential.

  • Once opened, transfer the tea to an airtight container (such as a ziplock bag) and keep it in the refrigerator.

  • If you don’t plan to use it soon, freezing is highly recommended. Matcha does not solidify in the freezer, so there are no problems storing it this way.

  • Avoid room temperature storage, as the tea will lose its freshness quickly.

Marukyu Koyamaen matcha typically has a shelf life of 6–7 months, and we ship freshly ground matcha within 2 weeks of production to ensure the best flavor.
