Kaishi is traditional Japanese paper used in the tea ceremony(Chanoyu).
It is mainly used to receive sweets, wipe a tea bowl, or handle small items.
Simple and elegant, kaishi reflects the spirit of mindfulness in the Way of Tea and is also useful in everyday life as a refined paper napkin or wrapping paper.
This kaishi is made from Iyo Washi, a traditional Japanese paper produced in Ehime Prefecture.
