Shoraku Aka Raku Chawan Sennen no Midori – Hakogaki by Fukumoto Sekio

This Aka Raku (Red Raku) matcha chawan was crafted by Sasaki Shoraku (佐々木松楽), a Kyoto potter known for traditional Raku-style tea bowls.

The chawan bears the poetic name “Sennen no Midori” (千年翠) and is accompanied by its wooden box with hakogaki (箱書) by Fukumoto Sekio (福本積應).

千年翠 – Sennen no Midori may be understood as “Everlasting Green” or “Green for a Thousand Years.” The expression evokes enduring greenery—unchanging through the passage of time—and carries an auspicious sense of longevity, vitality, and continuity.
