Iyo Sudare| 伊豫すだれ
This fabric is a kinran (gold brocade) rendition of the famous meibutsugire pattern “Iyo Sudare Junko.”
Compared to the original, which is woven on a satin (shusu) ground, this version has a more flamboyant finish.
It retains the original’s distinctive combination of the umebachi (stylized plum blossom crest) motif and the takara-zukushi (treasures) motif.
