Daruma Japanese Kitchen Cloth – Woven in Nara, Japan
Woven in Nara, Japan, this Japanese kitchen cloth is made using kaya fabric, a traditional textile rooted in Nara’s long history of mosquito-net weaving.
The layered construction combines a 100% cotton front with a 100% nylon back, creating a lightweight and practical cloth for everyday use. The fabric becomes softer and more comfortable with repeated washing and use.
Featuring a cheerful Daruma motif, a traditional Japanese symbol of perseverance and good fortune, this cloth brings a charming Japanese touch to the kitchen and also makes a thoughtful, practical gift.
Before First Use
The cloth is starched when new. Please wash thoroughly in warm water before first use to remove the starch. It will naturally soften with washing.
