Sho-ha ori Higashiyama Donsu | 紹巴東山純子
This textile is one of the celebrated meibutsugire (famous historic textiles). It is known for having been used as the lining fabric of a hi-rasha jinbaori (scarlet wool surcoat) passed down through the Uesugi family.
The original color scheme features a high-quality yellow junsu (plain silk satin). The overall design is composed of flowering ivy vines intertwined with soaring phoenix motifs, creating an elegant and auspicious pattern throughout the textile.
