Goryeo-Style Tea Bowl by Miyagawa Kōun (Ryūkokugama) — Pre-owned
With inscription by Ozeki Nangaku of Daisen-in, Daitoku-ji Temple

This Goryeo-style tea bowl was crafted by Miyagawa Kōun of Ryūkokugama, a ceramic artist known for blending traditional Korean-inspired techniques with Japanese tea aesthetics. Goryeo-style ware is admired for its refined forms, subtle glaze effects, and delicate surface textures, making each piece uniquely expressive.

The bowl comes with an original hakogaki (box inscription) written by Ozeki Nangaku of Daisen-in, a sub-temple of Daitoku-ji. This inscription situates the piece within the spiritual and cultural lineage of Japanese chanoyu.

Goryeo-style tea bowls are valued for their gentle irregularities, tactile warmth, and the quiet elegance they bring to tea gatherings.

This piece is offered in very good pre-owned condition, suitable for use in tea practice as well as for collectors who appreciate Zen-inscribed tea ware reflecting both Korean and Japanese ceramic traditions.
