Amid the global matcha boom, Mari noticed a growing gap between trendy matcha products and the authentic spirit of Japanese tea ceremony. To bridge that divide, she created Nara Tea Co. — not just as a tea brand, but as a way to share the true essence of Japanese tea culture with the world.

Guided by Senior Cultural Advisor Kihachiro Nishiura, Nara Tea Co. is committed to honoring the deeper philosophy and aesthetics rooted in traditional Japanese arts, including tea ceremony, calligraphy, and incense.
