ベイエリア開催 特別文化イベントのご案内
この度、奈良・高山に500年続く茶筅づくりの伝統を受け継ぐ二十代目茶筅師・谷村丹後氏をお迎えし、ベイエリアにて特別イベントを開催いたします。
500年続く伝統を現代へとつなぐ、現役の職人から直接お話を伺い、その技を間近で拝見できる大変貴重な機会です。

花入をはじめとするその他の作品につきましては、4月24日（金）・25日（土）にサニーベールにて展示販売会を開催予定でございます。

A Special Cultural Event in the Bay Area
We are honored to present a rare opportunity to experience the living tradition of Takayama chasen (Japanese tea whisk) craftsmanship.
Mr. Tanimura, the 20th-generation successor of a 500-year lineage in Takayama, Nara, will visit the Bay Area for a series of special programs including:
・Lecture on the history and philosophy of chasen
・Live chasen-making demonstration
・Hands-on workshops (limited seats)
・Welcome dinner & cultural exchange gathering
This is a unique opportunity to meet a master artisan who continues to preserve and evolve one of Japan’s most important tea traditions.

Nara Tea offers a 15% discount for members of registered tea groups (shachu). If you have not yet registered, please contact us at chie@liveyourcolour.com, and we will provide you with a 15% discount code upon registration.
Please note, however, that the 15% shachu discount does not apply to registration for this event. We kindly ask for your understanding.
Additionally, as there are scheduled sales in Portland, Los Angeles, and San Diego around the same time, the full collection of works may not be available on the day of the event. Therefore, the number of pieces available for purchase may be limited.
Other works, including flower vessels and additional pieces, will be presented and available for purchase at the exhibition and sales event to be held in Sunnyvale on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.
