This matcha bowl features the Matsushima motif, depicting pine trees, cranes, and waves—traditional symbols of good fortune—painted in the classic Ninsei-style technique. The bowl comes in a paulownia wood box.

Raised in a family of ceramic artists, Tezuka Touhou is known for his refined and elegant style. Rooted in the traditions of Kyo-yaki, he primarily works in the Ninsei and Annan styles, creating tea wares such as matcha bowls, fresh-water jars, and complete tea utensil sets.
