The Yoizakura (宵桜) Raku Matcha Bowl, crafted by Yoshimura Rakunyu, captures the quiet beauty of cherry blossoms at dusk, when delicate sakura emerge softly against the deepening evening sky.

Yoizakura means “evening cherry blossoms” and refers to the cherished Japanese tradition of admiring sakura after dusk. The poetic contrast between the blossoms and the darker background evokes the fleeting beauty of spring and brings an elegant, atmospheric presence to the tea room.

Handcrafted in Kyoto in the Raku tradition, this chawan reflects the warmth and expressive character of Japanese tea ceramics. Its softly shaped form rests comfortably in the hands, while the hand-applied decoration gives the bowl a distinctive character unique to an artisan-made piece.
