Takeyofushi – Bamboo-Node Form

The name Takeyofushi (竹節) refers to the distinctive form of the Chaire, inspired by the natural nodes or joints of bamboo.

Bamboo has long been admired in Japanese culture for its graceful appearance and remarkable strength. Remaining green throughout the year and bending without easily breaking, bamboo has traditionally been associated with resilience, vitality, and enduring strength.

The bamboo-inspired form gives this Chaire an expressive silhouette while maintaining the quiet refinement appropriate for Chanoyu.
