About Morisato Touraku

For more than 100 years, Morisato Touraku has been creating fine pottery in Kyoto, preserving the elegant tradition of Kyo-Mishima ceramics.

The studio is known for its mastery of the traditional Inka technique, in which delicate floral patterns are carved or impressed into the clay before being filled with white slip. This process creates soft, lace-like motifs that give each piece remarkable depth and refinement.
