Product Detail

A shape that has been loved since the time of Sen no Rikyu. The "eight" of the octagram represents perfection, regeneration, and infinite cycles. It is said to be a shape that invites good luck and happiness.

Material:  Mizume (Japanese Cherry Birch, Betula grossa)
A deciduous hardwood tree from the birch family, native to Japan. Also known as azusa, it has been traditionally valued for its fine grain and durability, making it a preferred material for musical instruments and tea utensils.
