Meibutsu Sho-ha Kururi Donsu | 名物紹巴くるり緞子

This textile is one of the celebrated meibutsugire (famous historic textiles). It features an all-over design of isshobō mon(clustered floral motif), derived from hōsōge—an ornate floral pattern of Indian origin.

Its design closely resembles that of the gururi-donsu (Gururi damask), another type of meibutsugire. The term gururirefers to the inner border or middle mounting panel used in Japanese mounting (hyōgu) techniques for scrolls and framed works.
