This textile features a stone-pavement (ishidatami) ground pattern, with each section depicting floral and tree motifs, as well as elements representing the ground, forming a “hana-usagi” (flower rabbit) design. This pattern is commonly seen in kinran (gold brocade) known as “Hana Usagi Kinran,” a type of celebrated Japanese antique textile (meibutsugire).
