Mt. Fuji, long revered as a sacred peak and a symbol of good fortune, is paired with the blossoms of spring to create a scene that feels both elegant and auspicious.

Artist: Yamaoka Kogiku
Born in 1942 in Mie Prefecture.
Graduated from the Kyoto Ceramic Training School in 1959, then trained for 10 years under master Zenjiro Ueyama.
In 1969, he established Yamaoka Togaen Studio and received the artist name “Zensho” from his teacher.
Since then, his works have been selected for numerous national exhibitions, receiving Kyoto Mayor’s Award and multiple Governor’s Awards.
He is known for vibrant overglaze painting, carrying on the tradition of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki.
