Artist: Ryōji Nakamura, a Kyoto-born ceramic artist, studied under Shunhō Inoue, Sui-ran Nakamura, and Shūhō Nakamura. He is known for his work that preserves the traditional techniques of Kyoto’s Kiyomizu-yaki pottery while incorporating a modern sensibility. He creates handcrafted tea ceremony utensils, including matcha bowls, incense containers, and water jars, often featuring natural and seasonal motifs with ash glazes and colored enamels. Each piece is unique, celebrated for its artistry and individuality, making it ideal for both collectors and everyday tea practice.
