Torimaru Kin Futsu | 鳥丸金風通
The rooster, one of the twelve zodiac animals, has long been cherished as a bird that heralds the time, and has been used as a decorative motif on vessels and other objects since ancient China. While many textiles feature bird patterns such as phoenixes and cranes, it is rare to find one adorned with so many roosters. By alternating the orientation of the roosters in each row, the design achieves an orderly arrangement while retaining a gentle impression. The diamond-shaped stone pavement background is also striking.
