Kiwadaji Ginran Karahanamon Nishiki | 黄蘗地銀襴唐華文錦

This is a rare example of ginran (silver brocade) fabric. Large, medium, and small peony blossoms are intricately woven with silver thread, and the flowers are elegantly connected by flowing arabesque (karakusa) patterns. The vibrant colors of the peony petals—vermilion, yellow, and purple—harmonize beautifully with the soft yellow background (kihada-ji), creating a striking yet balanced composition.
