Bamboo whisk(chasen) has a history of more than 500 years and is called "Takayama Chasen" because it is produced in Takayama, Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, since Nara is the first capital of Japan.
Takayama chasen has the largest share in the world, and the tea ceremony people use Takayama chasen. 
Only master craftsmen certified by the Japanese government can make it.
